Vision Qwest

I went to the Optometrist on monday. That's how he and I discovered another problem besides me being nearsighted. It turns out that my eyes do something funny with light. He scanned my eyes and then printed something that showed him a colorful picture of the problem. I don't remember the name of the condition. Basically whenever I look at street lights or headlights on cars; instead of them looking like light bubls the way they should the light gets blurry and distorted. Because of this I need special lenses called izon. If anyone want's to look this up the website is www.izonlens.com.

Basically these lenses are sort of like HD television. They make everything ten times clearer and they'll solve my light problem. They'll also make seeing at night easier. They will cost $375 but my doctor told me that I also need new frames so altogether it's going to cost roughly $600.

There's only one company that makes these lenses. There in california and my doctor told that after he orders the lenses it will take three weeks for them get here.

This comes in the middle of a transition. The company I work for has just been sold. The new company has hired me and I'm in the process of filling out my benefits paperwork.

SOLD

Zipsort has been sold. It was bought out by two different companies. My job is going to another department wich will soon be owned by PSI wich is owned by Pitney Bowes. Anyone who wants to keep their job has to apply for the same position they already have. After that there will be a drug screening and after that maybe I'll get the job; maybe not. The rest of the company was bought by PGI but it will stay Zipsort for two or three more months because we still have some mailings that need to go out and some that are still coming in. For awhile there will be uncertainty.
