Come Sandmand

Some of you guys have brought to my attention that I haven't posted anything new in a while. You're right it's been a long time. Tonight I'll make up for that by tucking you all in. Here's a poem to help you sleep and this was inspired (yawning as I write this) by a Bob Dylan song. Can you guess which one?

Come Sandman

Come Sandman. Sing a song for me. There's no place for me to go and I'm not sleeping. It's been a long hard day and I feel like weeping. Come Sandman. Sprinkle some of that sand on me gently and I will get weary. Come Sandman sing a song for me. Sing it softly. Sing it sweetly and I will get sleepy instead of weepy. I'm sitting here so board by tv that I feel like screaming. I'd have more fun if I were dreaming. I'm ready to go anywhere. I'm ready to begin. My hands can't seem to grip. I feal that I might slip, so take me on a trip aboard your magic sailing ship. My feet are to heavy for stepping. I wait now only for my shoes to go walking. My eyes are closing and I'm ready to fade into my own parade. I'll make it such an escapade. If you see me dancing and laughing up among the clouds; I'm only having fun. I don't mean to hurt anyone. It's just me escaping and on the run. Come Sandman. Sing a song for me. In my happy morning I'll come play with you.
